How long have we had the trusty desktop and windows model interface? Decades. Apple have brought us some brilliant little changes to the interface over the years but these have been only little. We need a new environment to develop for! A truly 3D environment with new ways of interfacing with the screen such as multi-touch would really allow companies to innovate with their applications in a whole new way.
